This self-directed creative study explores how a familiar holiday recipe can become a coordinated set of editorial food images and vertical social content. The visual focus is on the cookies' crescent shape, powdered-sugar finish, and walnut-filled dough, presented in a warm seasonal setting designed to feel nostalgic without becoming overly rustic.
The Creative Approach
We built a consistent holiday visual system around evergreen branches, tartan textile, warm lights, and neutral baking surfaces. The photography moves from ingredients and mixing through shaping, baking, and the final sugar coating, creating a sequence that works as both a website recipe story and source material for short-form social content. Tight finished-food frames add texture and detail while overhead process images keep the preparation easy to follow.
Vertical Reel
The vertical reel extends the same seasonal styling into motion, moving from process details to the finished holiday cookie presentation.
What This Demonstrates
The project demonstrates seasonal art direction, a cohesive mix of hero and process photography, and the ability to turn one recipe into a complete cross-platform asset library. It also shows how still photography and vertical motion can share the same visual language without feeling repetitive.
